Week of Prayer


OUR WEEKS OF PRAYER ARE DESIGNED TO HELP US ENGAGE IN PRAYER NO MATTER WHAT OUR EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN BEFORE.

For this Week of Prayer, our resources are focusing on the Easter story. Each day there will be a video of a Biblical character reflecting on Jesus’ crucifixion and the cross. Each video will include prayer resources to aid your time of prayer throughout the day. Videos will be posted each day on our social media channels, as well as below.

The Week of Prayer culminates with The Presence - our Good Friday services. See below for more details on these services.

FAMILY ACTIVITY

Have a movie night together! Grab some snacks, get cosy in your pajaymas and watch Veggie Tales “Easter Carol” together. After the film, discuss together the real meaning of Easter.

  • Easter Passion Play - 16th, 17th and 18th of April at 12.30pm starting at Waterstones the Passion will be acted out and proceed throughout the city centre, ending around 2.00pm at St Philip’s Cathedral. Organised by Saltmine Christian Theatre Company

The Presence - Good Friday

9:00am - 9:45am - Join us for a quiet, contemplative service reflecting on the cross and Jesus’ sacrifice. This service will be primarily self-led, with various stations that you can engage in silently. Communion will be offered. Hot cross buns and drinks will be served after the service.

10:30am - 11:30am - Join us for an interactive, all-age service, where we will engage in reflection on Jesus’ sacrifice in an active way. This family-friendly service will lead us through various activities as we engaging with the power of the cross. Communion will be offered. Hot cross buns and drinks will be served after the service.
