About

Why are we doing a weekend?

Being a large church in lots of smaller, local settings is wonderful. However, sometimes it's also brilliant to get together with the wider 'family'. We'll have fun, make friends, relax, worship and be together, wherever we come from and however old we are! And don't worry - there will be times when it's a big gathering of friends but lots of other spaces to be alone or in a smaller group, with a country walk, a few drinks, a board game or a late-night film.

Where are we going?

We'll be staying at Cefn Lea a wonderful Christian Conference & Holiday Park in Powys, Wales. We'll be staying in chalets (who said church weekends had to be in-tents?), with all meals included in your ticket price and the option of either staying with people you already know or mixing it up and making new friends!

What will we get up to?

We'll have loads of things on, including:

  • Some special times of worship and teaching
  • Board games night
  • Soft & sensory play
  • Snack tasting and competition
  • Lots of afternoon activities on the Saturday to get you out and about
  • International feast
  • A cinema (yes, there's one on-site)
  • A quiet library, games room and a free cafe/bar (if you want to hide from the activities)
  • As well as space and organised fun for children and youth aged 0-18.

Everything will be included in your ticket price and everything is optional - there won't be any pressure or expectation to participate, just invitations!

Sunday 16th is Father's Day, so we'll have a special cooked breakfast and some celebrations! Don't worry if you're wanting to get home to celebrate with other family who can't join us - the Sunday morning will finish by 12:00, so you can get on the road and be back in Birmingham for the afternoon and a dinner with family or friends.

Who's invited?

Everyone. If you're connected to Birmingham Vineyard, we would love for you to come along. It's going to be brilliant! If you're not sure whether it's for you because you don't always feel like you fit in at church, don't miss out - we'll do our best to make this a really special weekend for everyone who comes. There won't be any pressure to join in with anything, big meetings or smaller activities, and our team will be on-hand to make sure everyone is cared for and included as far as they want to be.

I don't have a car, how do I get there?

We'll make sure everyone can access the weekend, either by giving them a lift or by hiring a coach (this will cost about £10 per adult, £4 per child). Please indicate whether you need transport when booking below.

How much is it?

To run the weekend, it will cost approximately £120 for each adult who comes along.

We'd like to offer people the opportunity to 'pay it forward' if they can, so that others who need support can have some help to attend.

We therefore have 3 adult ticket types, two family tickets and some individual tickets for under-18s.

Please pay either a £25 deposit or the full balance of a ticket below. If you already booked on and paid a deposit, you can pay the rest by bank transfer, either all at once in in instalments. If you need help with this, or would like to pay in cash, please email becky@birminghamvineyard.com

After reserving your place, you will receive a confirmation email. You will then be able to pay the balance, either all in one go or in three instalments.
